Bethel Library-In the tower of the Beth- el Church, Water, corner of Johnson street, contains about 2000 volumes, the gift of many friendly to the sailors. The Library is connected with the Western Seamen's Friend Society.
Cleveland Library Association - No. 219 Superior street, Baldwin's Block. This In- stitution is now in a very thriving condition, having the past year been organized under a new Charter and Constitution, and is loca- ted in pleasant and agreeable rooms. The Reading Room is supplied with a large se- lection of Daily Newspapers and Periodicals from all the principal cities of the Union and Canada. The Library is being con- stantly enlarged, and is liberally patronized by the most intelligent portion of the citi- zens of the Forest City, and bids fair to be- come one of its proudest ornaments. The Annual Meeting of the Association for the election of Officers is held on the 2d Mon- day in April of each year. The present Board of Officers consists of the following gentlemen : William Case, President ; Al- leyne Maynard, Vice President ; H. M. Cha- pin, Corresponding Secretary; Geo. W.
