BOWEN Eleazer, son of the late Joseph, at Gloces- ter, in 89th year ; he was born in Rehoboth, Feb. 10, 1722 ; descended from an ancient family that came from Swanzey, in Wales, and settled in Swanzey, Mass., with a num- ber of other families ; was the oldest per- son but one in the town and had lived here more than 50 years ; was a worthy member of the Baptist Church, gathered by the late Rev. William Bowen in that part of the town, now Burrillville, over which his son-in-law, Rev. Noah Millard has now charge ; has left 6 children, 3 sons and 3 daughters ; 29 grand ; 52 great-grandchil- dren, and 15 of the 4th generation, in all 102 ; 48 of whom attended his funeral, ser- mon by Rev. John Westcott, Heb. v: 25, Elihu, at Scituate, in 88th year, of Society of Friends,
Capt. Samuel, an experienced nautical com- mander, at Philadelphia, in 29th year,
Dr. Ephraim, in this town, in 97th year, na- tive of Rehoboth; removed to this town when 9 years of age; the place then had a population of 10,000 ; he has left but one person who was in existence at the time of his removal here,
