SPANISH FORK DIRECTORY.

This is another ambitious and flourishing town of Utah county, situated on the U. P. Ry., 58 miles from Salt Lake City. It has a good agricultural surrounding, but its business is en- hanced by its close vicinity to the mountains, where numerous saw mills are reached through the grand Spanish Fork canyon. Good building stone is quarried here. There are good schools and the Presbyterians have a fine academy here. Stockraising is a prominent pursuit. The population is estimated at about 2500. The churches are Latter Day Saints and Presbyterian.
