Mustered out with the regiment, December 6, 1865. Born October 8, 1834 at Manlius Square, Onondaga County, New York. He was married on February 22, 1866. After the death of his wife in 1872, he accepted an appointment in the Regular Army, and served at Fort Larned, Kansas, and then Fort Riley, from there to Fort Union, New Mexico and then to Santa Fe. He was then ordered back to Fort Union, where he acted as Post Surgeon until he left the service. He returned to Chicago where he again set up his medical practice and remained there until his death in 1904.
