Yates, George - Private - Company A - Enlisted August 15, 1861. Promoted to Corporal August 1, 1862. Promoted to Sergeant August 8, 1864. Wounded at Darbytown Cross-Roads, Virginia, October 13, 1864. Yates was wounded by four bullets while carrying the Regimental Colors in the charge on the rebel works; he was captured and taken to Castle Thunder Prison, Virginia. He was paroled the same day and died from his wounds at Camp Parole on October 26, 1864. Shortly before his death, he was commissioned Captain in the United States Colored Troops.

York, John L. - Sergeant - Company D - Enlisted from Paine's Point, Illinois, August 9, 1861. Died at St. Louis, Missouri in October 1861. Cause unknown.
