KENDALLVILLE.

Is a handsome young city situated in the east part of Noble County 11 miles from Albion the county seat, at the crossing of the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad, and Air Line divis- ion of Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway. Fort Wayne lies 28 miles south, Toledo 92 miles east and Chicago 141 miles west.

Immense quantities of farm produce seek a market here, and with the product of the valuable fruit growing district, aid in making a considerable item of export. The manufacturing in- terest is also heavy, the large works of Flint, Walling & Co., producing the celebrated Star Wind Mill which is shipped to all parts of the country; the carriage factory of E. J. White turns out fine work and in goodly number; the various
