GYMNASIUMS.


Young Men's Christian Association Gymnasium is located in the third story of 124 East Sixth avenue, corner of Quincy street. It is fitted up with complete apparatus for athletic sports and exercises, and is open to members every day except Sundays. Bathing rooms are also provided for the use of members.


Turnverein Gymnasium. This society is provided with all the necessary appliances usually found in first-class gymnasiums, which are arranged in their hall and grounds on the corner of First avenue and Harrison street. Admittance to the grounds of the association is limited to its own menbers.


HOSPITALS.


Christ's Hospital, located west of the city limits; under the su- pervision of the Rev. Thos. H. Vail, bishop of the diocese of Kansas. Ward patients are cared for at reasonable rates, and charity patients fostered from public subscriptions. The hospital is in charge of ex- perienced stewards, nurses and other attendants.


Mineral Well Hospital, on Harrison street, between Second and Third streets; medical-water baths, and excellent attendance by experi- enced nurses.


Plans are now being perfected for the erection of a large and com- modious hospital, which the practicing physicians in the city have un- dertaken to build and conduct, free to all patients.
