and to determine in each case how and under whose direction the money shall be expended, to impose any conditions and restrictions thereon which the Town may see fit; to determine how much money so appropriated shall be available for expenditures under Clause (34) of Section 5 of Chapter 40 of the General Laws, Tercentenary Edition; to determine what, if any, sums so appropriated shall remain available after December 31, 1937; to fix the terms and conditions of any loan or loans authorized to procure any of such funds and to authorize the issue of bonds or notes for the same, and fix the term and rate of interest of any such bonds or notes; to fix such salaries as require to be fixed by the Town Meeting; and to impose such conditions upon the drawing of compensation from the Town as the Town may see fit; or take any other action in reference to any of the foregoing subjects.
. ARTICLE 2. (By Direction of the Selectmen) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise or borrow and appropriate for the purposes of continuing any federal or state relief projects and providing compensation for services performed in reference to such activities; or take any other action in relation thereto.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
ARTICLE 3. (By Direction of the Selectmen) To take any action that the Town may desire upon the reports of the several Town Boards and Com- mittees and appoint or change any committee that the Town may think proper.
TOWN FINANCES
ARTICLE 4. (By Direction of the Selectmen) To see if the Town will vote to authorize the town treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1937, and to issue a note or notes there- for payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, of the General Laws Tercentenary Edition.
ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to authorize its Treasurer, with the approval of its Selectmen, on and after January 1, 1938 to borrow in anticipation of the revenue of the year 1938.
ARTICLE 6. To see what sum of money the Town will vote from surplus for the use of the Assessors in determining the tax rate for the vear 1937.
ARTICLE 7. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to sell or otherwise dispose of any real or personal property of which the Town may be possessed or seized and for which it has no further use, in- cluding all real estate of which the Town has possession or title for non- payment of taxes; to see if the Town will vote to authorize any other de- partment to sell or otherwise dispose of any personal property in its posses- sion and to determine the manner or conditions of such sales, or take any other action in reference thereto.

ARTICLE 8. To see if the Town will vote to authorize its Board of. Selectmen to accept conveyances or mortgages of any real or personal prop- erty belonging to persons receiving relief from the Town and to dispose of said property in the manner they may adjudge for the Town's best interest, and to authorize them to discharge any encumbrances on said property if they consider it for the best interest of the Town so to do, and to see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the discharging of such encumbrances.
STREETS AND SIDEWALKS
ARTICLE 9. (By Direction of the Selectmen and on Petition of Abut- ters on the Several Streets hereinafter named) To see if the Town will accept the several reports of the Selectmen laying out as Town ways the following designated private ways and parts of ways, or any of them, to wit:
Roosevelt Road from land of the Edison Electric Illuminating Com- pany easterly for a distance of about 1200 feet.
Poinsettia Avenue running northeasterly from Pleasant View Avenue a distance of 160 feet.
A B and C Streets on development known as the Newbert Farm off Main Street.
or any portion of said ways and will authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift or purchase or take by right of eminent domain in fee or otherwise for all purposes of a public street and highway in and over each of said streets as so laid out and accepted, and to see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the working of each of the above named streets including the acquisition of the fee above referred to and for the building of any bridges, drains and conduits or securing ease- ments which may be necessary in connection therewith and to see whether the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen to accept deeds of any reser- vation strips existing in connection with any of said streets. or take any other action in reference thereto.
ARTICLE 10. (At the request of the Planning Board and on Petitions) To see what sum of money the Town will raise and appropriate to recon- struct, resurface, widen, straighten. relocate or work the following streets:
By the Planning Board :
Forest Street from Randolph Street to Columbia Street
Pleasant Street from Police Station to Water Street.
Pine Street and Pleasant Street near their intersection.
Essex Street from Broad Street to Commercial Street.
North Street near the corner of Neck Street and Pearl Street.
Front Street from the vicinity of Elliot Street to Federal Street or any part thereof.
Pond Street from the N. Y., N. H. R. R. to the Abington Town Line or any part thereof.
Whitman Street from Broad Street to Humphrey School Grounds.
Summer Street from Front Street to Federal Street.
Federal Street from Summer Street to Washington Street.
Sea Street from Thomas's Corner to Bicknell Square.
Washington Street from Washington Square to State highway beyond Lincoln. Square.
Winter Street.
Columbian Street near its intersection with Park Avenue west.
On petitions :
Pearl and Norton Streets.

West Street from Middle Street to the Braintree Line, or any portion thereof.
Whitman Street from Broad Street to the James Humphrey School es- pecially from the property of Fred Alden to the intersection of Hill- crest Road and to see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $7785.00 for this purpose.
Union Street from No. 440 to the Rockland Line, or any portion thereof.
For removing ledge lying between Main Street and Front Street near or at their intersection with Winter Street.

ARTICLE 11. (At the request of the Planning Board and on Petitions) To see what sum or sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate for the resurfacing, construction or repair of sidewalks and curbings on the streets of the Town as hereinafter set forth or take any other action in reference thereto:
By the Planning Board :
Southerly side of Broad Street from Middle Street to Jackson Square. Easterly side of Main Street from Middle Street to Park Avenue. Northerly side of Partridge Road.
Southwesterly side of Bates Avenue.
Northerly side of Union Street from No. 354 to No. 442.
On Petitions :
Westerly side of Whitman Street from Broad Street to the James Humphrey School.
On the easterly side of Pearl and Norton. Streets from Evans Street to North Street.
The southerly side of Columbian Street from Main Street to Park Avenue west.
Northerly side of Walnut Avenue.
Northerly side of Sterling Street.
Both sides of Sycamore Road between Pond Street and Great Pond Road.
Both sides of Wilson Avenue with curbing and proper catch basins. Humphrey Street from Charles Street to the James Humphrey School. Westerly side of Front Street from the Stetson Line southerly to junction of Main Street and Front Street.
Easterly side of Front Street from Federal Street to Joyce Avenue.
Southerly side of Columbian Street from West Park Avenue to Brain- tree Town Line.
Southerly side of Swan Avenue. Easterly side of Mill Street from Front Street to West Street.
Northerly side of Franklin Street from Front Street to Broad Street.
Westerly side of Middle Street from Washington Street to Circuit Avenue.
Northerly side of Hunt Street from Front Street to Washington Street.
ARTICLE 11A. (On petition of the Board of Selectmen) To see what sum of money the Town will raise and appropriate to reconstruct, resurface. widen. straighten, relocate or work the following streets provided the State

or County or both will appropriate a sum of money to help defray the ex- penses of said work.
Middle, Commercial and North Streets from a point near Central Square to the junction of Norton Street or beyond.

ARTICLE 12. (On petition of the Planning Board) To see if the Town will vote that of the sum appropriated for W.P.A. expenditures under Ar- ticle 2 for the current year $14,000. be appropriated for the purpose of re- surfacing, constructing, altering or repairing sidewalks and curbings through- out the Town or take any other action in reference thereto.

ARTICLE 13. (At the request of the Planning Board) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the purpose of constructing or reconstructing drains and culverts at the several locations hereinafter set forth.
