Strong, Mr. Josiah Dwight, deligate, Williamsburgh, Rev. Aaron Bascom, Chester; R.d James Briggs, Cummington, R.John Lealand, Mr. Joseph Clark, deligate, Partridgefield, The Re.d Joseph Strong was chosen Moderator, & Aron Bascom scribe. The Council was then opened by Prayer, The Council was then certifyed by Authenticated Copies of Votes, that the Ch.h & People of Chesterfield have chosen & called the Rev. d Timothy Allen for their Pastor & also his Acceptance of their invitation. The Council then proceeded to enquire into the regular standing of Mr. Allen in the Ministry. Also his sentiments in divinity, & voted unanimously that our way is clear to Proceed to his Reinstallation. The Councill then assigned the Parts as follows, viz: The Rev.d Mr. Lealand to make the first prayer, the Rev.d Aaron Bascom to make the Prayer before the charge; the Rev.d Mr. Strong to give the charge; the Rev.d Mr. Briggs to make the concluding Prayer, the laying on the hands & giving the right hand of Fellowship, are thought unnecessary in the present case. Passed & voted unanimously as the result of Council. Signed at the desire in behalf of council by Joseph Strong, Moderator.

Church Transactions
October ye Ist. 1787
At a church meeting, after solemn prayer to Almighty God, voted:
That Brother John Russell take the minutes of the meeting.
2 ly Voted that they are dissatisfyed with Brother Taylor's conduct.
3 ly Voted to choose brothers John Russell, Nathaniel Coleman & Stephen Baker as a committee to form a plan for the Ch.h to act upon Respecting Brother Tayler & others in like circumstances.
Voted to adjourn this meeting to Friday ye 12th. day of this instant at one o'clock P.M. att ye meeting house

Upon adjournment of a Church meeting of ye Ist. of Oct.r to ye 12th. 1787,
Voted that from and after this, all those that are absent or appear late att ye appointment of a Ch.h meeting in this Town, that all & each member shall be interrogated & be requested to give a sufficient reason for their conduct ..... or be dealt with.
Also, voted that the moderator Procure a Draught for the Church with respect to Seth & Elizabeth Tayler & for a rule of proceedure for ye Ch.h in like cases hereafter. Notwithstanding the committee that was heretofore appointed. 1790
