Dr. Thomas Adams, who recently died in Winslow, Me. ; was town clerk, leader of the church choir -teacher of music, and a skilful performer on several musical instruments, and was a man of more than ordinary ability and usefulness. He removed to Spencer where he was for several years deputy sheriff ; thence to Leicester in 1822, where in various callings he spent the rest of his days. He was a great reader and a deep thinker.
