Commonwealth of massachusetts. at a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Chelmsford qualified to vote at elections and in town affairs, held pur. suant to warrant at the town hall Centre village, Saturday, May 21, 1904. at 2- oclock in the afternoon, when the following business was transacted: The meeting was called to order and the warrant read by the town clerk. Under article 1. falloted for moderator and albert . Davis was chosen and sworn by Town Clerk Under article 2. Capt. John J. monahan moved that the action of the town at the last annual muting under Article 13. of the marrant there- for as certified by the Town blesk-whereby it was voted that the town borrow the sum of $10,000. for the purpose of building a new four room school house at Stest chelmsford, the amount so borrowed to be payable in five annual instalments the first one to be paid in 1905. and that the money be expended under a committee of seven including the three mem- fers of the school committee, be and hereby is ratified and confirmed. General discussion of the matter followed this motion during which a motion to indifinately postpone was put and lost. a rising vote upon the original motion was taken 58 voting in favor and 19 opposed.

Setting. The bound at Carlisle Street is a very small, short bound and should be replaced with a larger post. The bounds on both sides of Chelmsford Street should be reset, as they are lean- ing and out of position. The found at Chelmsford Street, owing to a change in the line of the street, is nearly covered up and should be raised. Your Committee and the Committee of the Select. men of the town of Chelmsford recommend that the above changes he made, and that the City Engineer be instructed to do the work, the expense of the same to be divided between the City of Lowell and the Town of Chelmsford.
