Under article 4. To hear reports of Town Officers and Committees, George F. Snow as chairman of the Committee on School building at Nest Chelmsford reported in addition to the printed report of that Committee that the new School house was practic- ally completed and had been occupied for school purposes since Jan. 1, 1905. That the Committee was unable to finish the grading of the lot on account of frozen ground. That the old building had been sold at auction for 105, and the old furniture for 4,00 Part of this sum had been used for grading and the balance was in the hands of the Committee. in unexpended balance from the town appropriation of $56.69 was reported to be in the Committee's hands. This report was accepted. Henry S. Berham read the report of the Anniversary Committee and this was laid upon the table Voted to accept the report of the Selectmen on guide posts. Voted to accept the remainder of the town report as printed after the correction of typographical errors.


Under artical 5. the Committee on appropriations through George F. Snow, chairman, reported the sums necessary in their judgement which as amended it was voted to raise and appropriate as follows :-

Under article 8. Voted to raise and appropriate the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.) to be expended for the care and maintenance of the Rifle Range.


Under article 9. Voted to raise and appropriate the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.) for the purpose of grading the grounds and improving the sanitary conditions about the school house at Nest Chelmsford. Under article 10, "at the request of the anniversary Committee, to see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of twenty-five hundred dollars (2500.) to defray the expense of the celebration of the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of its incor- poration, which the town voted at its last annual meeting to hold" Mr. Henry S. Perham as chairman of the committee stated that upon reconsideration the committee wished to ask that the sum of $1500 be substituted in the article in the place of $2500. a motion to indefinitely post one was lost 126 to 62. It was then moved that 500. be raised and offers- priated which motion was amended to insert the words fifteen hundred dollars which amendment was carried and the original motion as amended was passed 128 to 63. Upon motion of Hilson Haters it was noted that the same Committee that was chosen last year to make arrangements for celebrating the 250th anniversary, be the committee to have charge of the celebration, that they have power to affont sub committees to assist them, that they shall re- clive all money and pay all bills contracted by them and make their report to the next Annual Town meeting.
