To all people to whom these presents shall come I Joseph Bennett of a new plantation called New Providence in the Co. of Berkshire and state of the Mass- achusetts Bay in New England Esq send greeting Know ye that I the said, Joseph Bennett for the promoting Piety Virtue & Religion do freely give grant and convey unto Col Joab Stafford of the same New Providence and to his heirs and assigns one acre and twenty rods of land lying and being in said New Providence and is situated round the meeting House in the said place it further appears to be known by the name of Elder Peter Werden's meeting House
