P. 1 At a Collection of eighteen of the Inhabitants of the grant of Land originaly Called New providence in said Town agreed to warn the male Inhabitants of said grant to meet and assem- ble at the meeting house on said grant on tuesday the 29th Day of March Instant at one O clock in the afternoon to act on the following purposes. At a legal meeting of the first Baptist Church and Society in Cheshire and th vicinity Convened at the house of Capt Dexter Mason on Thursday the 14th Day of December 1809

2nd Chose Allen Brown Clerk


3rd Voted to Chose a Committee of three to supply the above Church and society with a Baptist preacher 4th Chose Allen Brown Charles Walker Jun and David Cushing to serve as the above Committee


5th Voted that Deacon Stephen Carpenter pay Elder John Le - land twenty five Dollars with Intrest from January 15th 1809, for his ministeral Services for the above Church and society


P. 6 6th Voted that Deacon Stephen Carpenter pay Allen Brown ten Dollars for money that he has paid to Elder George Witheral for his ministeral services for the above Church and society 7 th Voted that Deacon Stephen Carpenter pay the above sums out of the income of the public Lot. 8th Voted to adjourn the meeting to the saturday preceding the first sunday in April Next
