Received its arsenal of arms, voted by the board of selectmen and was prepared to cope with any emergency. Five additional metalic lockers were placed in the basement at the Town Hall and the new stack of arms were kept there. There were four riot guns and two Winchester repeating rifles.

Police raided a Greek Club Room at 74 Walnut St. Jan. 15 in search of liquor and arrested 14 Greeks. A gallon and a half of beer, in bottle was also seized. One man jumped out the second story window and escaped. A shooting affair occured there a short time ago and many complaints had been received of the liquor drinl ing and gambling going on.
