PRACTICAL ROOFING.

The Subscriber having secured the sale of Thompson's Patent Elas- the Roofing, informs the public that he has made arrangements to apply the same to

Roofs of any description-Flat, Pitched, Domes, or Octagons.

The above Roofing has qualities unlike any other now in use. Purely minera in its composition, it cannot decay, fire-proof, resists the atmospheric changes, and is perfectly reliable.

Its adaptation is not confined to roofs of buildings alone, but can be applied with great advantage to Rail Cars, both steam and horse, to covering wood- work which is to be placed under ground, to Iron Ships or Iron Roofs to prevent corrosion, all kinds of Bridges, and between floors of Stables. Tin Roofs can be preserved for years by an application of the composition ; can be upplied direct to shingles, or on the boarding to save shingles ; is cheap in price and valuable for use.

The subscriber is aware of the skepticism in the minds of the public with re- gard to the adoption of any new invention of this kind, especially with those who have used the various kinds of roofing material ; but six years' experience of this material is a sufficient guarantee for its superior qualities.

The publie are invited to, examine for themselves at the store of the subscriber. N. B. Gravel or Sand is not used in the application of the above Roofing, but finishes smooth and handsome ; can be walked on without injury.

Also, a New Elastic Cement, For Pointing Chimneys, Scuttles, and Crevices, CONSTANTLY ON HAND. WILLIAM G. CLARK, 63 HAVERHILL STREET, BOSTON.
