THE MILLER FAMILY.


Their ancestry in this country is traced back to the period of King Philip's War. Thomas Miller was killed by the Indians, in the defense of Springfield, Oct. 6, 1675. Solomon Miller, grandson of Thomas, died Aug. 20, 1760, aged 30 years.


Captain Joseph Miller,1 the progenitor of the Miller family in Ludlow, was born in 1698 and died April 5, 1760; mar- ried Mary --. Child: Joseph Miller.2
