To either Constable of the Town of Milford, in said County:
Greeting:
In the name of the Commonwealth aforesaid, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said Town, qualified by law to vote in election to meet at the polling places of their respective Precincts to wit:
In Precinct 1. In Dewey Hall, Town Hall Building.
In Precinct 2. Marchegiano Hall, Meade Street.
In Precinct 3. In Chapin Street School, Chapin Street.
In Precinct 4. In So. Grammar (Brick School) Main Street.
In Precinct 5. In Park School, Walnut Street on Monday the fifth day of March A.D. 1945, at 8 o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to bring in to the Wardens of their respective Precincts their votes for the following named Town Offices, to wit:
A Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, Tax Collector, Three Selectmen, Highway Surveyor, all for one year; One Assessor (Three years), One Member of the Board of Public Welfare (Three years) ; One Member of the Board of Public Welfare (One Year to fill vacancy) ; One Mem- ber of the Board of Health (Three years); One Member of the Sewer Commissioners (Three years) ; Two Members of the School Committee (Three years); Two Trustees of the Public Library (Three years); Two Trustees of the

The polls will be closed at 8 o'clock in the evening.
Article 1. To hear and act upon the reports of all Town Officers and Committees of said town.
Article 2. To raise and appropriate such sum or sums of money as may be necessary to defray Town Ex- penses for the financial year beginning January 1, 1945 ..
Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Select- men, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1946, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew such note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, of the General Laws.

Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to take charge of all legal proceedings for or against the Town.
Article 5. To determine the compensation of the Collector of Taxes for the year ensuing.
Article 6. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the Dog Tax of Sixteen hundred sixty dollars and ninety- six cents ($1,660.96) for Town Library.
Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to choose a Director of County Aid to Agriculture in accordance with the Provisions of Chapter 128 of the General Laws, or pass any vote or votes in relation thereto.
Article 8. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to sell any or all real estate owned by the Town by reason of the foreclosure or tax titles thereon, and to execute, acknowledge and deliver a proper deed or deeds therefor, authority therefor to terminate March 1, 1946, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 9. To see if the town will appropriate from available funds under the Excess and Deficiency Account, a sum of money for use by the Board of Assessors in fixing the Tax Rate for 1945, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for Chapter 90 Maintenance, said money to be used in conjunction with any money which may be allotted by the State or County, or both, for this purpose; or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to establish the Annual Salary of each Selectmen at Five hundred ($500.00) dollars, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 12. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Two hundred ($200.00) Dollars for the purpose of stocking the waters with fish in the Town of Milford, to be expended under the Supervision of the Selectmen, or take any action in relation thereto.

Article 13. To see if the Town will vote to accept and allow the report of the Selectmen on the laying out of a Public Way, a private way known as So. Cemetery Street from Depot Street, and a continuation of Charles Street, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to rescind action taken under Article 7 of the Special Town Meeting held September 6, 1944 wherein the Selectmen were auf thorized to sell the Braggville School Property, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of providing special compensation adjustments for the year 1945 for certain officers and employees of the Town, including School Teachers, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of construct- ing additional surface drainage on Central Street from Charles River westerly towards Depot Street, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from available funds a sum of money to be used for the purpose of purchasing new equipment for the Highway Department, money to be expended under the Supervision of the Finance Commission and Highway Surveyor, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to sell a certain piece of land located on Greene Street, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of meeting the cost of painting and repairing the exterior of the Town Hall Building, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of meeting the cost of the construction of a drainage project on John Street, or take any action in relation thereto.

Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of meeting the cost of construction of a drainage project on Highland Street, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of One hundred ($100.00) Dollars for the use of the Zoning Board to be appointed by the Select- men under the Provisions of General Laws (Ter. Ed.) Chapter 40, Sec. 25-30A as amended, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of One hundred fifty ($150.00) Dol- lars for the purpose of constructing cement retaining walls at or near the entrances to the foot bridge over Cedar Swamp Pond, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to fix the an- nual salary of the Superintendent of Sewers at the rate of Two thousand twenty-four ($2,024.00) Dollars, said salary to be appropriated from the Sewer appropriation for Salaries and Wages for the year in which said office is cre- ated, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 25. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the improvement of Fisk Mill Road Bridge, said money to be used in conjunction with any money which may be allotted by the Town of Upton, the County of Worcester or Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or either of them, for this purpose, the same to be expended under the supervision of the Select- men and Highway Surveyor, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 26. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Thirty-seven hundred seventy-five ($3,775.00) dollars for the purpose of installing a sewer on Florence Street, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 27. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Six hundred ($600.00) dollars to install emergency lighting in the Town Hall as required by the State Building Inspection Department, or take any action in relation thereto.

Article 28. To see if the Town will vote to accept and allow the report of the Selectmen on the laying out of a Public Way, a private way known as Finley Court, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 29. To see if the Town will vote to accept the report of the Committee appointed at the Annual Town Meeting of 1944 to investigate the advisability of the Town establishing a Town Forest, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 30. To see if the Town will vote to establish a Town Forest on land located on the easterly side of Purchase Street and on the northerly side of Dilla Street, title to which was acquired by Land Court Decree dated June 3, 1937, from the Southern New England Ice Co., to be known as a public domain under the Provisions of G. L. (Ter. Ed.) Ch. 45-Secs. 19-23, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 31. To see if the Town will vote to accept Ch. 48 (Ter. Ed.) Sec. 58A whereby the hours of duty of per- manent members of the uniformed fire fighting force in the Fire Department shall not exceed seventy average weekly hours of duty in any year, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 32. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from the Civilian Defense Account the sum of Five hun- dred ($500.00) dollars to be used for the benefit of a Teen Age Canteen under the supervision of the Selectmen, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of G. L. Chapter 94, Sec. 120A as amended (In- serted by Chapter 496, Acts of 1924 and amended by Sec- tion 4 of Chapter 332 of the Acts of 1943) relative to an additional fee to the annual fee for a license to carry on the business of slaughtering, or take any action in rela- tion thereto.
Article 34. To see if the Town of Milford shall adopt and accept G. L. Chapter 31, Sec. 4, as amended by 1929, Acts Chapter 134, which provides that the following may

be included within the classified Civil Service by Rules of the Commission, as follows: "Janitors of School Buildings in certain Towns-Janitors of school buildings in cities and in such towns of over twelve thousand inhabitants as accept this paragraph," or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 35. To see if the Town will vote that with the Annual Election in 1946, the Tax Collector shall be elected for a term of three years, instead of one year as hereto- fore, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 36. To see if the Town will vote to extend to the Office of the Town Treasurer, the same adjusted compensation or bonus arrangement recommended by the Finance Committee for certain other departments under Article 15 and that the necessary funds be added to the salaries and wages or adjusted compensation in the appro- priation article, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 37. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the reconstruction of Camp Street, or take any action in relation thereto.
And you are hereby directed to serve this Warrant by publishing at least seven days before said meeting an at- tested copy of this warrant in the Milford Daily News, a newspaper published and having a general circulation in the Town of Milford, and by posting at least seven days before said meeting attested copies of this warrant in five or more public places located in said Milford.
Hereof Fail Not, and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Clerk of said Town at the time of said meeting.
