Recommendations
In view of the absence of a long-range plan for school building facilities, and in consideration of possible changes in the makeup of our town in future years, I recommend that a survey and report of the Milford school system be made by an agency qualified and experienced in such work.
Surveys and reports have been made for other communities by graduate schools of education, and in my opinion there is an urgent and substantial need for an unbiased survey of our schools to guide us as we look to the future in Milford.
Gifts
A collection of mathematics and science books used by Miss Mary B. Ford during her teaching career has been donated to the Milford High School. These books will be used for reference pur- poses and are greatly appreciated by both the faculty and students of the Milford High School.

In Memoriam
With deep regret the many former pupils and the many friends of Miss Mary Belle Ford, a teacher in the Milford High School for forty-three years, mourn her passing.
Her tireless efforts to attain the accomplishment of the seemingly insurmountable tasks she set before her pupils, her aid and encouragement along the way, her unsparing sacrifice of time and self, her admonishments, her pleas- antries are fondly remembered.
She was a devoted teacher, a competent judge of right and wrong, a lover of the out-of-doors - her fields, her flowers, her ocean - a loyal friend, a true guide to the young.
May God grant her a just recompense for work well done, and may her soul through His mercy rest in peace.
