OVERSEERS OF THE POOR

The Almshouse is still in charge of Mr. and Mrs. George L. Burnham, and their management is very satisfactory. The majority of the inmates are over sixty years old, three being between eighty and ninety, requiring much care and attention.

In the report of the State Board of Charities the Andover Almshouse which is inspected by their agent each year, stands among the first in the state.

The inmates are well fed and clothed and made in all respects very comfortable.

We would be pleased to have the people of the town visit the Almshouse and see for themselves how our poor are cared for.
