ANNUAL REPORT
REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES OF THE PUBLIC LIBRARY.
Your Trustees feel that this has been a red letter year in the annals of your Library. The books have been catalogued, and a system of records installed, making it more convenient and up-to-date. This work was planned and carried out by the State, at little expense to us.We have received a good number of books from the State, and a few from friends, while a number have been added by purchase. But little progress has been made by the Building Committee on the new building owing to various obstacles, but we hope 1917 will see us in possession. Under the agreement with Mr. Carnegie the Town should this year appropriate the five hundred dollars provided for in our part of the contract.
We would urge you all to call and look over the books; only by use can they become valuable to us.
JOSEPH HOWLAND,
Chairman for the Trustees.
