ANNUAL REPORT

REPORT OF TRUSTEE OF PUBLIC LIBRARY.

The Trustees have little to offer. It has been a quiet year in our work. The new building is nearing completion and we hope to be in it soon, but with the rush of war work, many things have been forced to the back ground with the dawn of peace we all will take up the old tasks with a will.

We would again call your attention to the fact that we have a fine building, and one of the best small library's in the State, which has no insurance. A fire would entail a ' loss of eight to ten thousand dollars. No good business man takes these risks, and we would urge that the Town take some action along this line.

The Library has been used, but not to the extent we could wish. Come in and see us, bring your neighbor. We are adding new books all the time. Is there any book you want? If so tell the Librarian, we shall be glad to put it on the shelves.

Again we would urge you to make use of its contents, by this alone is its existence justified.

JOSEPH HOWLAND,

For the Trustees.
