Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachu- setts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Braintree, qualified to vote in elections therein to meet at polling places in their respective Precincts, to wit :
Polling place in Precinct No. 1, Town Hall.
Polling place in Precinct No. 2, Legion Building, Hollis Avenue.
Polling place in Precinct No. 3, Hose House, Allen. Street.
On Monday, the first day of March, 1926 at five forty-five o'clock in the forenoon, then there to bring in to the Wardens of their respective Precincts their votes on the official ballot for a Moderator, Town Clerk, a Town Treasurer, three Selectmen, ne member of the Board of Assessors for a term of three years, three Overseers of the Poor, three Highway Surveyors, three Auditors, a Tax Collector, a Tree Warden, two members of the School Committee for a term of three years, one member of the Board of Health for a term

of three years, one Water Commissioner and Commis- sioner of Sinking Funds for a term of three years, one member of the Municipal Lighting Board for a term of three years, one Park Commissioner for a term of three years, five members of the Planning Board for a term of one year, and fifteen Constables:
Also, to vote "Yes" or "No" upon the question, "Shall licenses be granted for the sale of certain non- intoxicating beverages in this town?"
The polls will be opened at five forty-five o'clock in the forenoon and will be closed at two o'clock in the afternoon.
You are further directed to notify and warn the said inhabitants qualified to vote as aforesaid to meet at the Town Hall in said Braintree, on Monday, the 8th day of March, 1926, at seven forty-five o'clock in the evening, then and there to act on the following articles, namely :
Article 1. To choose all Town Officers, except those elected by ballot.
Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to author- ize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money in anticipation of the revenue of the current financial year.
Article 3. To see if the Town will hold its Treas- urer harmless on his bond from any loss which may arise from the failure of any National Bank or Trust Company in which the funds of the Town may be on deposit, said Bank or Trust Company being designated by the Selectmen.
Article 4. To see if the Town will hold its Tax Collector harmless on his bond from any loss which may arise from the failure of any National Bank or Trust Company in which the funds of the Town may be on deposit, said Bank or Trust Company being des- ignated by the Selectmen.

Article 5. To hear and act upon the report of the several boards of Town Officers, and any commit- tee, and to choose any committee the Town may think proper.
GENERAL GOVERNMENT
Article 6. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for salaries of the Town Officers and the expense of the several depart- ments, including Town Counsel, the bond of the Town Treasurer and the bond of the Tax Collector.
Article 7. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the expenses of Registration and Elections.
TOWN HALL
Article 8. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the support and maintenance of the Town Hall and for the services of a Janitor and Assistant Janitor.
CHARITIES
Article 9. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the support of the poor, maintenance and repairs of the Braintree Home, the salaries of the superintendent and matron of the Braintree Home, the salary of the Visitor, salaries of the Overseers of the Poor, and the purchase of equipment for the Welfare Department.
Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to be expended under Chapter 118 of the General Laws.

Article 11. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the pay- ment of State Aid, military aid, soldiers' burials and soldiers' relief.

Article 12. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the salar-

ies, pensions and expenses of its Police Department, and for the necessary expenses required for the en- forcement of the law, including court expenses, and the purchase of equipment for said department.
FIRE DEPARTMENT
Article 13. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the sup- port and maintenance of the Fire Department, and for the purchase of new apparatus or equipment there- for, for hydrant service, maintenance of the fire alarm, and for the purchase and installation of new fire alarm boxes.
Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to auth- orize the Selectmen to purchase or take by eminent do- main the land surrounding the fire engine house in Precinct No. 3, and raise and appropriate a sum of money for this purpose, or take any other action rela- tive thereto.
Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to ap- point a committee to report to the next Annual Town Meeting on the subject of the construction and erection of a building to house the Police Department and the Headquarters of the Fire Department.

Article 16. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the sealing of weights and measures.
Article 17. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the salary of Inspector of Buildings and expenses of his depart- ment.

Article 19. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the suppression of gypsy and brown tail moths, care and planting of trees, and forest fires.
Article 20. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to appoint a committee to investigate the possibility of the Town having a forest.
Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to erect a sixty- eight foot steel Forest Fire Observation Tower on the summit of Turkey Hill in the Town of Holbrook, in accordance with section 5, Chapter 40, G. L.
HEALTH AND SANITATION
Article 22. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the sal- aries and expenses of the Board of Health, including contagious diseases, vital statistics, inspection of milk, animals, slaughtering, meat and provisions and plumb- ing, dental clinic and tuberculosis nursing.
Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $4,179.97, being the por- tion of the expense incurred and apportioned by the County Commissioners upon the Town for the care, maintenance and repairs of the Tuberculosis Hospital. in accordance with Chapter 286 of the General Acts of 1916.
Article 24. To see if the Town will accept Chap- ter 535 of the Acts of 1910, authorizing the construc- tion of a system of sewerage.
Article 25. To see if the Town will accept Chap- ter 546 of the Acts of 1910, providing for the addi- tion of the Town to the South Metropolitan Sewerage System.

Article 27. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the support of the Highway Department, including salaries, repairs. of highways, town ways and bridges; also, for repairs and building sidewalks, stone roads, removal of snow, oiling streets, and purchase of equipment for said de- partment.
Article 28. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for street lighting.
Article 29. To see what sums of money the Town. will raise and appropriate for the repairing and re- building of Pond Street, east of Fairview Avenue, or take any other action relative thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of acquiring land and constructing a stand pipe thereon an dt oextend its water mains to said stand pipe, and authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Se- lectmen, to borrow all or any part of said sum in ac- cordance with the provisions of any general or special act authorizing the Town to borrow for such purposes, or take any action relative thereto.
