ART. 31. Collection of taxes.
Voted, That all taxes for the year 1924 shall be due and payable not later than October 1, 1924, and on all taxes re- maining unpaid after October 31, 1924, interest shall be paid at the rate fixed by Section 57 of Chapter 59 of the the General Laws.
ART. 32. £ Rewiring and installing new fixtures in Town Hall.
Voted, That the sum of $3,000 be and the same is hereby appropriated for the purpose of re-wiring and installing new fixtures and making interior repairs in the Town Hall, to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen and that the Selectmen be instructed to call for sealed bids to carry out provision under Article 32.

ART. 34. Committee to investigate the public school system.
Voted, That the town authorize the Moderator to appoint a committee of five citizens to investigate the Public School system. The following citizens were appointed, Edward Gibbs, Jr., Laurence F. Davis, George W. Munson, Jr., Mrs. Fred- erick W. Marston and George C. Cronin.
ART. 33. To abolish Manual Training, Domestic Science and Mechanical Drawing Departments in the public schools.
Voted, That Article 33 be referred to the committee authorized to investigate the public school system.

ART. 35. To lease the old Town Hall to Camp Fire Girls and Boy Scouts.
Voted, That the Selectmen be and are hereby authorized to lease to the Camp Fire Girls and Boy Scouts the building known as old Town Hall on Taylor street, upon such terms and condition and time as the Selectmen may determine.
ART. 36. To preserve Round Hill.
Voted, That the town preserve the land owned by it known as "Round Hill" as a historic spot.
ART. 37. To locate incandescent lights.
Voted, To refer to Board of Selectmen.
ART. 39. To acquire land for new Junior High School.
Voted, To indefinitely postpone.
ART. 40. Committee to build new Junior School.
Voted, To indefinitely postpone.
Voted, At 10.25 P. M. to dissolve the meeting.

And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof Seven days at least before the time of said meeting as directed by vote of the town.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

To W. Charles Sellick, Constable of the Town of Saugus, GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the town of Saugus, qualified to vote in town affairs to meet at the Town Hall on Monday evening, December 15, A. D. 1924, at eight o'clock, to hear and act on the following articles, viz :
ARTICLE I. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
ART. 2. To hear and act on reports of committees.
ART. 3. To see if the town will vote to transfer the sum of $900.00 from the appropriation for the playground adjoining the Felton schoolhouse lot, $450.00 to the Health Department and $450 to the Police Department or take any action in relation thereto. Board of Selectmen.

ART. 4. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from any unexpended balances from the appropriations of the year 1924 the following sums : To the Selectmen's Department $150.00, to the Police Department $1,000.00, for Soldiers' Relief $400.00 to Highway Department $200.00, for Water Maintenance $220.25, or take any action in relation thereto. Board of Selectmen.
ART. 5. To see if the town will vote to authorize and direct the Board (of Selectmen to sell and convey unto Moswetuset Tribe 61, Improved Order of Red Men, or a building association of that organization, 10,000 feet, more or less, of land with buildings thereon, the same being a portion of the property known as the Lincoln school property situated on Lincoln ave- nue, Saugus, and which is now closed for school purposes, for the sum of $2,000.00 or to see what action the town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of Harold B. Waitt and others.
And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies at the usual places seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting, and to distribute copies as pro- vided by the By-Laws at least four days before.
HEREOF FAIL NOT, and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of said meeting.
Given under our hands and Town Seal this twenty-fourth day of November, A. D. nineteen hundred and twenty-four.

The meeting was called to order by Town Clerk Henry A. Parker, at eight o'clock, P. M., 130 being present,
Upon motion which was seconded and carried, the reading of the Warrant was dispensed with.
ARTICLE I. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
Upon motion, was carried, the Town Clerk was ordered to cast one ballot for Frank P. Bennett, Jr., for Moderator, who after being duly sworn by the Town Clerk, took charge of the meeting.
ART. 2. Reports of committees. No reports.
The Moderator appointed and swore in the following citizens as tellers : J. A. Raddin, F. M. Symonds, A. D. Hitchings and J. Husler.
ART. 3. Transfer from appropriation of Playground lot.
Voted, That the Town Accountant be and is hereby author- ized and directed to transfer from the appropriation for the Playground adjoining the Felton Schoolhouse lot the sum of $450 to the Health Department and $450 to the Police De- partment.
ART. 4. Transfer from any unexpected balances.
Voted, That the sum of $150 be and the same hereby is, transferred from the appropriation for Johnson Road water extension and purchase of Dump Truck to the Selectmen's Department.

Voted, That the sum of $1,000 be and the same hereby is transferred from the appropriation for Temporary Loan Interest to the Police Department.
Voted, That the sum of $400 be and the same hereby is transferred from the appropriation for Ballard Park water extension for Soldiers' Relief.
Voted, That the sum of $200 be and the same hereby is trans- ferred from the appropriation for repairs of Main and Howard streets to Highway Department.
Voted, That the sum of $220.25 be and the same hereby is transferred from the appropriation for Purchase of Revere Water System, for Water Maintenance.
ART. 5. To authorize the Selectmen to sell Lincoln School.
Voted, That the Moderator appoint a committee of five, one each from the Planning Board, Finance Committee, Library Trustee, School Committee and Selectmen to report with rec- ommendations at the Annual Town Meeting in 1925. The. following persons were appointed : Harry Woodward, John B. Lang, Francis M. Hill, Walter Sprague and Chester S. Nicker- son.
Voted, To adopt the following : Whereas, The N. E. T. & T. Co. has submitted a new schedule on rates for telephone service to the Public Utilities Commission and
Whereas, They have proposed that Saugus be made a dis- trict by itself eliminating present district service in lieu of local service, thereby making it necessary to pay additional toll charges of 5 cents on each call to Lynn or other sections of the present district and
