ANNUAL TOWN MEETING.
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS.
Norfolk. ss. To either of the Constables of the Town of Weymouth in said County. Greeting:
In the name of said Commonwealth, you are hereby re- quired to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid, qualified to vote in elections therein, to meet at the polling places in their respective voting precincts, to wit: In precincts numbered One, Three, Five and Six, in the halls of the Fire Engine Houses located respectively in those precincts; in precinct numbered Two, at Odd Fellows Opera House, and in precinct numbered Four, at the Hose House at Nash's Corner, on Monday, the Fourth Day of March next, at Six o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to bring in to the Wardens of their several precincts their votes on one ballot, for the following named town officers. to wit: Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, five Selectmen, five Overseers of the Poor, five As- sessors, Collector of Taxes, three Auditors. two School Committee for three years, one School Commit- tee for one year, one Park Commissioner for three years, three Trustees of Tufts Library for three years, one Water Commissioner for three years, one Commissioner for the Sinking Fund of the High School Loan Bonds for three years, and ten Constables; and also to vote on the same ballot, "Yes" or "No" upon the question "Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town?"

The polls will be open at six o'clock in the forenoon, and may be closed at one o'clock in the afternoon. You are further required to notify and warn said inhabitants quali- fied to vote as aforesaid, to meet at Music Hall, East Wey- mouth (Skating Rink). on Monday, the Eleventh day of March next, at nine o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following articles, namely :
Article 1. To choose a Moderator for said meeting.
Art. 2. To choose all necessary town officers other than those elected by ballot, viz :- Public Weighers, Surveyors of Wood, Lumber and Bark, two or more Fence Viewers, two or more Field Drivers, one Pound Keeper.
Art. 3. To choose by ballot a Tree Warden, and to de- termine what compensation shall be allowed him.
Art. 4. To hear and act upon the report of the several boards of town officers, and of any committees appointed at any former meeting, and to choose any committees the town may think proper.
Art. 5. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the support of public schools.
Art. 6. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the transportation of pupils to and from school.
Art. 7. To see if the town will vote to instruct the School Committee to employ a Superintendent of Schools.
Art. S. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the repairs of highways, town- ways and bridges and for the removal of snow.
Art. 9. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the support of the poor.
Art. 10. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the relief of disabled soldiers and seamen, and the families of disabled soldiers and sea- men under Chapter 447 of the Acts of 1890.
Art. 11. To see what sum of money the town will vote to appropriate for the payment of State and Military Aid

under the provisions of Chapters 372 and 374 of the Acts of 1899 and for burials, as provided in Chapter 279 of the Acts of 1896, and to determine how much of the same shall be raised by taxation.

Torrey and eighty-four others, to see if the town will vote to erect a new school- house in Ward 1, adequate to accommodate 350 pupils, and raise by a loan, or otherwise, and appropriate to that use a sum! sufficient for that purpose, and to establish a Sinking Fund which will discharge such loan at maturity, and take all other action necessary to carry into effect any or all of the foregoing propositions.
Art. 29. On petition of the Building Committee, to see if the town will raise and make an additional appropriation of $300 for the new schoolhouse at Nash's Corner.
Art. 30. To see if the town will authorize its Selectmen to enter suit, if found necessary, for the recovery of money expended for the maintenance of poor, having settlements in other towns or cities.
Art. 31. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise and appropriate toward the Sinking Fund, for the payment at maturity of the High School Bonds.
Art. 32. On petition of the "Monday Club," to see if the town will adopt an amendment to its By-Laws, providing for the establishment of a Curfew Ordinance.
Art. 33. To see if the town will vote to appropriate from the revenue of the Water Works for the current year the sum of $25,160 to be expended for the following pur- poses, viz: $18,160 for interest on the Weymouth Water Loan Bonds becoming due the ensuing year, $2,300 for salaries of the Superintendent of the Works and Engineer

of the Pumping Station, $1,700 for maintenance of the Works, and $3,000 for all necessary expense.
Art. 34. To see if the town will vote to appropriate, and direct to be paid to the Trustees of the Sinking Fund. out of the income of water rents for the current year, the sum of $9,080 to be set apart and invested as a Sinking Fund for the payment at maturity of the principal of the Wey- mouth Water Loan Bonds.
Art. 35. To see if the town will vote to appropriate the sum of $3,000 for the purpose of extending the main water pipe line.
Art. 36. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for hydrants, and for water rent and care of drinking fountains.
Art. 37. To see if the town will vote to furnish without cost to the Highway Department, the water used in sprink- ling, and in construction of streets.
Art. 38. On petition of Edward W. Hunt and others, to see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $3,000 to continue the work of rebuilding Commer- cial street between Washington square, and the Tufts Rail- road Crossing.
Art. 39. To see if the town will vote to raise and ap- propriate $3,000 to continue the work of macadamizing Broad street, between Jackson square and Middle street.
Art. 40. On petition of W. T. Shaw and twenty-four others, to see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money sufficient for a night police during the year, for the village of North Weymouth.
Art. 41. By request of the Park Commissioners, to see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $100 for the purpose of working that portion of Summit street bordering on Webb Park, to its full width, as laid out, with a sidewalk along the line of said park.
Art. 42. By request of the Park Commissioners, to see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of

$50 for the care and maintenance of parks belonging to the town.
Art. 43. By request of the Old Colony Club, to see if the town will vote to raise a sufficient sum of money, and ap- propriate the same, for the purpose of teaching sewing in our public schools.
Art. 44. On petition of M. Sheehy and others, to see if the town will raise and appropriate $400 to rebuild four bridges on Broad street between Central square and the division line between Wards 2 and 3.
Art. 45. On petition of M. Sheehy and others, to see if the town will vote to deepen the water course which crosses Broad, east of Essex street; said deepening to be done north of Broad street, to what is known as "The Brook." And to see if the town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum, not to exceed $500 for the same.
Art. 46. On petition of David P. Tilden and others, to see if the town will take action for the erection and main- tenance of electric lights on Chard street, extending from the junction of Putnam street and Cowing avenue, to the house of Wendall T. Dizer.
Art. 47. On petition of Peter A. Healy and others, to see if the town will raise and appropriate a sufficient sum of money to locate one electric light at the corner of Curtis and Central avenue, near the house of Francis Moneghan.
Art. 48. On petition of Edward Anderson and others, to see if the town will vote to establish and maintain elec- tric lights on that part of Washington street between the Toll House (so called), and the house of Silas Newcomb.
Art. 49. On petition of Wilmot Cleverly and others to see if the town will place an electric light on Green street, opposite Shaw street. North Weymouth.
Art. 50. On petition of Charles H. DesLauries and others, to see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate such sum of money as will maintain two incandescent lights, one at the corner of Charles and Lake streets. and another at the corner of Walnut and Charles streets.
