In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid, qualified to vote in elections therein, to meet in the

Town Hall, on Saturday, the third day of December next, at three o'clock in the afternoon, then and there to act on the fol- lowing articles, namely :


Article 1. To choose a moderator.


Art. 2. To see if the town will vote to authorize its Treasurer, with the approval of a majority of its Board of Selectmen, to issue six notes of the town of one thousand dollars each, the same to become payable, one each year, from November 1, 1911, to November 1, 1916, inclusive; the proceeds from the sale of which shall be used to reimburse the treasury of the town six thousand dollars, which it became necessary to apply toward the payment of a note of $7,500, which became due June 15, 1910, or act in any manner in relation thereto.


Art. 3. On petition the Fire Engineers : - To see if the town will raise and appropriate one thousand dollars for the Fire De- partment, to provide for a deficiency in the annual appropria -- tion.


Art. 4. At the request of the Water Commissioners : - To. see if the town will instruct the Water Commissioners not to, issue licenses for boating and fishing on Weymouth Great Pond ..


And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting a copy thereof attested by you in writing in each of two public places in each voting precinct in said town seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.


Hereof fail not, and make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk of said town at or before the time of said meeting.


Given under our hands at Weymouth this twenty-first day of November, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and ten.

Pursuant to the within warrant I have this day notified and warned the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid to meet at the respective place and time and for the purpose set forth in said warrant by posting true and attested copies in two and more public places in each precinct in said town seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting, as within directed.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING.


Pursuant to the foregoing warrant, a meeting of the inhabi- tants of the Town of Weymouth was held in the Town Hall on Saturday, December 3, 1910, the meeting being called to order at 3 o'clock P. M., and the warrant was read by the Town Clerk.


Article 1. Hon. Louis A. Cook wae elected as Moderator by ballot, nnd the oath was administered to him by the Town Clerk.


Art. 2. Voted to lay this article on the table.


Art. 3. Voted to lay this article on the table.


Art. 4. A motion was made under this article "That the Water Commissioners be instructed not to grant licenses for boat- ing and fishing on Weymouth Great Pond," but it was not car- ried, the result of the vote being, Yes 20, No 45.


Previous to taking the above vote the Moderator appointed John J. Loud and A. Francis Barnes as tellers and administered the oath to them.


Voted, To adjourn to Friday, December 9th, at 7 o'clock P. M.

ADJOURNED TOWN MEETING.


The adjourned Town Meeting from the 3d instant was held in the Town Hall on Friday, December 9, 1910, and was called to order at 7.30 o'clock P. M. by the Moderator, Hon. Louis A. Cook. There not being one hundred present it was voted to ad-

journ until 8 o'clock, and that a committee of five be appointed to retire and bring the number required to make a quorum (100).


The following were appointed on the above committee : Thomas Fitzgerald, Edward. W. Hunt, Joseph A. Cushing, Nelson W. Gardner and Walter W. Pratt.


At 8 o'clock the meeting was again called to order, there being one hundred voters present, and the business proceeded.


Voted, To extend the thanks of the town to the above com- niittee.


Voted, To take from the table Article 2 of the warrant.


Voted, That the Treasurer of the town be authorized, with the approval of a majority of the Board of Selectmen, to issue six notes of the town of one thousand dollers each, to become due : $2,000 November 1, 1912, $2,000 November 1, 1913, $2,000 November 1, 1914, bearing interest at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum, payable semi-annually, the proceeds from the sale of which shall be used to reimburse the treasury of the town the amount of six thousand dollars, which it became necessary to ap- ply toward the payment of a note of seven thousand five hundred dollars, which became due June 15, 1910, the result of the above vote being, Yes 129, No 0.


The Moderator appointed Alvin Hollis one of the tellers aud administered the oath to him.


Voted, To take Article 3 from the table. '


Voted, To appropriate the sum of one thousand dollars for the Fire Department, to provide for a deficiency in the annual appro- priation, the result of the vote being, Yes 121, No 0.


Voted, To take up Article 4.


Voted, To reconsider the vote passed under this article.


A motiou was then made " That the Water Commissioners be requested not to grant licenses for boating or fishing on Wey- mouth Great Pond," but it was not carried, the vote being, Yes 67, No 67.


Voted, That it is the sense of this meeting that the Selectmen call the next annual meeting in the evening.


Voted, To adjourn.
