A true copy, Attest :

CLAYTON B. MERCHANT,

Town Clerk.

PETITNON FOR RECOUNT

To the Board of Registrars: December 7, 1928.

We, the undersigned voters of Weymouth, Mass., represent that we have reason to believe and do believe that the returns of the Election Officers of the said Weymouth, Mass., of the votes cast at the Election on November 6, 1928, for the office of Governor are er- roneous in this respect: that Frank G. Allen was credited with more and Charles H. Cole with less votes than were actually cast for them; and we believe a recount of the votes in the said Ward or Town will effect the election of one or more candidates at such election. We therefore ask that the votes cast for said office of Governor as afore- said be recounted.

Thomas J. Terry, 269 Middle St, East Weymouth Daniel P. Sullivan, 236 Randolph St., South Weymouth. M. Frank McCarthy, 39 Lakeside Ave., East Weymouth Mabel T. THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS

Then personally appeared Daniel P. Sullivan, one of the above subscribers and made oath that the above statement by him sub- scribed is true, to the best of his knowledge, information and belief. Before Me

CERTIFICATE

I hereby certify that a notice was sent by registered letter (with return request) to Frank G. Allen, Charles H. Cole and Daniel P. Sul- livan, of a recount of the votes cast for Frank G. Allen and Charles H. Cole as petitioned by Thomas J. Terry and 14 others, that the Registrars of Voters would recount the votes cast for said Allen and Cole, at the Town Office, on Thursday, the 15th day of November, 1928, commencing at 9 o'clock in the forenoon.

CLAYTON B. MERCHANT, Town Clerk.

Notice was received in regular form from Charles H. Cole, ap- pointing Thomas J. Terry to represent him at the recount, also from Frank G. Allen appointing Kenneth L. Nash and Newland H. Holmes as agents to represent him at the recount.

The Board of Registrars met at the Town Office on Thursday, Nov. 15, 1928, and proceeded to recount the votes cast for Frank G. Allen and Charles H. Cole, candidates to the office of Governor, with the following result, which result was forwarded to the Secretary of the Commonwealth as provided by law.
