Judge Nash moved: that if and when the Laban Pratt Hospital is built it be built on the site of the present Town Infirmary.

Selectman Lane moved to amend the recommendation of the Appropria- tion Committee as follows: That the Board of Selectmen be authorized to make payment from the Laban Pratt Hospital Committee Fund to Dr. Joseph Howland for hospital survey report submitted to the Board of Selectmen on August 25, 1941. The sum of $200. Moderator declared the Motion as lost.

ARTICLE 39. Mr. Field for the Appropriation Committee moved: That the Town instruct its Board of Selectmen to invest $50,000. of the Laban Pratt Hospital fund so-called in United States Defense Savings Bonds, Series F.
Mr. Cate moved to amend the recommendations of the Appropriation Com- mittee as follows: And that this money shall be taken from that part of Laban Pratt Hospital Fund which is deposited in the Savings Department of the bank that pays the Town the smallest rate of Interest. Mr. Stein moved to reconsider Article 50 at this time. Reconsideration prevailed. Substitute motion as follows:
Moved that, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, the Officers of the Weymouth Public Safety Committee as designated at the most recent previous Special Town Meeting are hereby authorized to expend not exceeding $4,000. for the benefit of the Weymouth Hospital, which sum is hereby raised and appropriated to provide those services.

(1) One additional town water connection of 6 inches c.i., 6.85 pipe to replace the present supply line consisting of 2 inch pipe approximately twenty years old.
(2) Auxiliary water supply tank of five thousand gallons capacity with pump to boost water required height.
(3) Auxiliary three phase 220 Volt, 371/2 Kw. belt driven generator' (generator to be driven by a gasoline engine) and exciter.
(4) One auto transformer for providing 110 volt lighting and single phase motor power.
(5) Material and labor for throw-over switches and wire changes as recommended to said Weymouth Hospital by the Technical Committee of the Weymouth Public Safety Com .; and moved further that the Select- men are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement or Contract with and at the discretion of said Weymouth Hospital, wherein it shall be pro- vided that 50 percent of the total amount expended by virtue of this au- thority, be credited against the account of the town, as incurred at estab- lished and prevailing town rates, for those cases of persons who by mis- fortune or poverty require relief during temporary illness in 1942, the balance to be credited against the account of the town as incurred for similar reasons and purposes, and under like conditions in 1943.
Mr. Stanley T. Torrey acting in behalf of Rev. William Sewell moved as follows: That the sum of $4,000. be raised and appropriated for the full wing emergency measures at the Weymouth Hospital for the proection of public health and safety as provided under the emergency powers under legislative Acts of 1941, Chapter 487, to meet the exigencies of war conditions.
The following plan is submitted to interpret the use of said appropriation :

Motion of Mr. Torrey as thus amended by Selectman Callahan was then put to a vote. Moderator declared the motion as thus amended, pre- vailed, unanimously.

Norfolk County, ss.
To either of the Constables of the Town of Weymouth Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said town who are qualified to vote in Primaries to meet in the polling places of their respective Precincts, to wit:
In Precinct 1 in the Bicknell School Hall;
In Precinct 2 in the G. A. R. Hall on Commercial Street ;
In Precinct 3 in the Hunt School Gymnasium Hall, Broad Street;
In Precinct 4 in the Building of the Citizen's Association Inc., on Front Street ;
In Precinct 5 in the Building of the Pond School, Pond Street;
In Precinct 6 in the Wessagussett Post, V. F. W. No. 1399 Building on the South Side of Broad Street;
In Precinct 7 in the Lovell's Corner Improvement Association Building on Washington Street;
In Precinct 8 in the Weymouth Heights Club Building on North Street; In Precinct 9 in the Nevin School Building, Corner of Main and Colum- bian Streets;
TUESDAY, THE FIFTEENTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1942
at 1:30 o'clock P.M., for the following purposes:
To bring in their votes to the Primary Officers for the nomination of Candidates of Political Parties for the following offices :
Governor for This Commonwealth.
Lieutenant-Governor for this Commonwealth.
Secretary of the Commonwealth for This Commonwealth.
Treasurer and Receiver General for This Commonwealth.
Auditor of the Commonwealth for This Commonwealth.
Attorney General for this Commonwealth.
Senator in Congress for This Commonwealth.
Representative in Congress for the Thirteenth Congressional District.
Councilor for Second Councilor District.
Senator for Norfolk and Plymouth Senatorial District.
3 Representatives in the General Court for Third Norfolk Representative District.
District Attorney for the Southeastern District.
Registrar of Probate and Insolvency for Norfolk County.
County Commissioner (1) for Norfolk County.
County Treasurer for Norfolk County.
Clerk of Courts Norfolk County.
All the above candidates are to be voted for upon one ballot.
The polls will be open from 1:30 P.M. to 8 P.M.

And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies
Hereof fail not and make return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk on or before the 8th day of September 1942.
