Two children attended the Summer Camp at Pocasset. They were selected by Dr. Kelley, Superintendent of the Barnstable County Sanatorium, as cases that were in need of the Camp treatment. They had their tonsils and adenoids removed and necessary dental work attended to. They were greatly helped by the camp life and seemed to enjoy being there.

193

The Chadwick Clinic work was carried on again this year by Dr. Julius Kelley of the Barnstable County Sana- torium. This clinic is for the purpose of finding new Tuber- culosis cases and checking up on the cases already known. Work was done in the seventh, ninth and eleventh grades. One hundred and eight of these children were skin tested; ten were x-rayed; and ten were given a physical examina- tion check-up by the doctor. The results have not been re- ceived yet. We were pleased that more children took ad- vantage of this clinic this year.

A Well Child Conference was held at the Nursery School, June 9, 10 and 11 by the State Department of Public Health. The children were given a physical examination by Dr. Sally Saunders. The parents then discussed nutri- tion with Miss Dorothy Frank. Miss Anna Donovan took the case histories. Most of the parents attended this confer- ence.

Number attending Conference 37

Tivo of these cases had their tonsils and adenoids re- moved during the summer. The chest x-rays were taken and found to be negative. The aim is to have all the defects cor- rected.

Respectfully submitted,

C. HOPE BECKER, R. N.
