Itm: Voted, that the rate to be made for M' Gibbs for this p'sant year, be made according to the act for makeing the Prov- ince tax this Prefant year.

Voted at sd meeting that Mr Simon Stone & Capt Nat" Barsham, do on the next lectur day Post up on the old meeting- houfe door, that the Inhabitants of the easterly society of Water- town do give a meeting at said meeting houfe on the 15th day of this Instant January, at one of the Clocke in the afternoon, to take caer to repaire sª meeting houfe, and to Chofe a comitte to fe the worke done.

Febr 17th 1706/7 Paid to the Reverend M' Henry Gibbs by the Collectors, in part of what was granted to him on october the feventh 1702. for the Carying on of ye worke of the miniftrey amongst us, the fum of fifty pounds fourteen shillings and fix pence, and in wood according as it was granted.

Feb : 17th 1706/7. Paid to the Reverd M' Henry Gibbs by the Collectors, and Conftable Samuell Jenifon, In part of what was granted for the carying on of the worke of the miniftrey amongst us, in october the fixt, one thoufand feven hundred and three, the fum of fifty feven pounds twelve fhillings and nine pence, and in firewood in full as it was granted.

Item : Voted, at sd meeting that the Clerke doe enter into the booke purchafed by fd east end of Watertown, all fuch votes & agreements as have pafsed in fd cociety Refering to the fupport of the miniftre in fd east end of Watertown.


Febr 17th 1706/7 Paid to the Reverd Mr Henry Gibbs by the Collectors, and Conftable John Chadwick, in pat of what was granted for the fupport of the miniftrey amongst us : Octobr the fourth one thoufand feven hundred and fower, the full & Just fum of fifty feven pounds three shillings and two pence, and firewood in full according as it was granted.

Voted that for the further promoteing & carying on the worke of Repaireing the old-meeting-houfe, in fd cocietie, we do defire the Collector forthwith to goe to thofe perfons that have not pª equall proportion with their Neighbours, and alfo carry with him a fubfcription that fo all may pay there equall proportion, or otherwife fubfcribe and pay as thay thinke meet.


July 23ª 1705. At a meeting of the east end Inhabitants of Watertown, and sd meeting was adjornª to the first wednesday of october next


October ye 3ª 1705. At a meeting of the Inhabitants of the easterly end Inhabitants of Watertown orderly warned & met.


M' Simon Stone was chofen Moderator for sd Meeting.


Voted, at said meeting, that we will give to the maintenance of the miniftrey in sd east end societie for the year enfuing 771b in money, one fixt part whereof to provide wood at feven shillings pr cord.


Voted, that the abovesd rate shall be made according to the rules Prescribed in the law for the making the last Province tax. Choofen for afsefsors at sd meeting Samuell Livermore, Nathan Fiske and Munings Sawin.

Jun : 17th 1706 At a meeting of the Inhabitants of the easterly cociety .in Watertown orderly warned and meet in order to take caer to gather in the arrears of the ministers rates and fuch other concerns as may be thought needfull.


It was voted at sd meeting, that the constables vizt Samuell Jenifon and John Chadwick Sent forthwith gather in the arrears of the ministers rates comited to them to gather, and pay in the fame forthwith according to the warrants.


Voted at sª Meeting, that we doe defire appoint and Impower Deacon Nathaniell Barsham and Deacon William Bond & Enfign Samuell Thatcher to gather in what of the arrears of the ministers rates, which are ungathered, before the rates wer comitted to the constables to gather.


Voted, at sd meeting that Deacon Net11 Barsham Deacon Wm : Bond and M' Nat" Bright be a comitte to enter into said cocieties booke of Records what thay may think nedfull, by the clerk of sd cociety.

Voted at faid meeting that we doe grant a rate of ninety Seven pounds in money for the minifters maintenance, in fd focietie, for the year enfuing, twelve pounds of fd fum : to provide wood for fª Ministrey, at feven shillings Pr Corde, twenty pounds of s'1 fum which is more that our ufuall rate is in Confideration of or Pastures prefent Circumftances by sicknes & weeknes.


Voted at sd meeting that ye fª Rate be made according to the Rules in ye law for the makeing the last Province tax, with a warrant affixed to it to be comitted to the Conftable in ye east end.

At a meeting of the east end Cocietie or Congregation in Watertowne Febr 18: 1707/8.


Voted That the Committe Chosen Jan : 7h 1707/8 to take an account of the Deacons of what is behind of the ministers Rates in arrears, in the year beforesd Rats wer Comitted into the hands of the Constables. Doe forthwith Indeavoure to get in the re- mainder of the same, and alfo to Recon with any fuch as are behind in fª Rates, and alfo doe allow fª Comitte to abate fuch part of sª arrears as thay shall b sattifffyed ought to be abated, (That is to say if the same be don within three months next hence enfuing the date hereof), and if any of them that are faid to be behindhand in fd Rates & arrears will give their oaths before a lawfull authority that thay have already pd a part of the whole, then the same shall be allowed pd.

I. Voted That the last Rate made for the Support of the miniftrey in fd: Cocietie be forthwith Commited to Constable Nathan Fiske to gather, and he to Issue & make up his accounts of the whole of said Rate at or on the first wednesday of october next.


2. Voted and ordered that the fd : Constable give an account of what part of sª Rate is not exfpended in Carrying on ye worke of the ministrey in fd cocietie to the Reverend Pastu" Mr Henry Gibbs, by the abovesd first wednesday in octobr


3. Voted and Choofen to be added to the Comitte for warning of meetings in sd&Cocietie Deacon William Bond and Samuel Eddy fr and what fª Comitte shall agree upon & send to the Clarke of said Cocietie in writing shall be accounted fufficient warrant for fª Clerk to post up in writing.


4. Voted That we do Defire Deacon Nat11 Barsham, Deacon Win Bond, Mr Nat11 Bright & Sam11 Eddy fr to procure fom Perfon or Perfons for the carrying on of the worke of the ministrey in fd Cociety for ye next & last quarter of the prefent year, upon as refonable terms as may be.

9 Voted That we do adjorne the abovesd meeting to the first monday of Decembr next at ten of the Clock in the forenoon, To take caer for the paying for mending the old meeting-houfe glafs, and fuch other Concerns as fd meeting shall fe occation for.


At a meeting of the Easterly Precinct by adjornment the 5th of Decembr 1709.


Voted That we will have a Contribution upon the 3ª Sabbath day of this Instant December in order to gather money to pay for the mending the meeting-houfe glafs, and for the mending the Bel wheel, and fom other arreers due to the fexton.


Voted That fd meeting be adjorned to the third monday of this Instant month, to take account of what money is gathered, and to pay it to the Creditors, And to se if the Cocietie will Con- fider of som method for placing of the meeting-houfe.
