GORHAM SEMINARY, GORHAM, MAINE.
By an Act of the last Legislature, the " MAINE FEMALE SEMINVRY" and " GORHAM MALE ACADEMY" have become one Institution, now known by the above title.
The Seminary building will be, as heretofore, a boarding-house for young ladies, as the union is to affect only recitations and other general exercises of the Institution.
Preparatory to this arrangement the Seminary has been thoroughly repaired-newly paint- ed and papered, and put in the most attractive order.
The Building is heated entirely by furnaces, from which hot air is taken to each room sep- arately, thus obviating the inconvenience of stoves, and securing a more equal and healthy temperature.
The School Year of this institution is divided into four terms of eleven weeks each.
