THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE.


To the inhabitants of the School District in the town of - Piermont qualified to vote in district affairs:


You are hereby notified to meet at the Town Hall in said district on the 12th day of March 1910, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon to act upon the following subjects:


1. To choose a Moderator for the coming year.


2. To choose a Clerk for the ensuing year.


3. To choose a member of the School Board for the en- suing three years.


4. To choose a Treasurer for the ensuing year.


5. To hear the reports of Agents, Auditors, Committees, or Officers chosen, and pass any vote relating thereto.


6. To choose Agents, Auditors and Committees in rela- tion to any subject embraced in this warrant.


7. To see how much money the District will raise and appropriate for the support of Schools.


8. To see how much money the district will vote to raise and appropriate for the repairs of school houses.


9. To see if the District will authorize the School Board to appoint a Superintendent of schools according to laws, P. S. 90: 24, as amended by laws 1895.

School Superintendent's Report.


To the Piermont School Board:


During the three terms ending February 24, 1911, there have been registered in our schools 128 pupils. Seven school rooms were used in the Spring and Fall terms, and the River Road No. II. school is also in session this Winter term.


Two schools have kept the same teachers throughout the year, Miss Crawford at the River Road No. I., and Miss Gould at the. village primary school. The Brook Road school has had a different teacher each term and the lowest percentage of attendance. This winter the membership has been nine, the average attendance 4.88. It hardly seems wise to carry on a school where the expense is so great compared with the results accomplished.


The spirit among our teachers has been good, and faithful, con- scientious work has been done.


The reading in our schools is in general the least satisfactory study. Much stress has been laid on this and we feel that our ef- forts have been rewarded with some measure of success. New reading books have been purchased for five of the grades, and two sets of supplementary reading.


In looking over the old town reports, I find that nearly every year parents have been reminded that their duty in visiting our
