Report of School Board.

It seems that a lengthy report of our schools is unnecessary, for everyone interested in our schools is supposed to be well informed in regard to them.

The School Board have had an unusually difficult job in se- curing teachers who are qualified, without paying much more than has been our accustomed practice. We think the time is not far distant when we shall have to pay much higher prices to our teachers. Most of our schools have been supplied with competent teachers, and the results as a whole are highly satisfactory.

There have been some repairs made at North and East Sandwich, and we have quite a revenue in the treasury to aid in future repairs which can be used to good advantage. The parents have shown a good degree of interest in our schools, for which aid we are thankful.

We wish to thank the town as a whole for their support and the liberal appropriation for our use.

D. D. ATWOOD, HARRIET E. CARTLAND, A. B. HOAG, M. D., School Board of Sandwich.
