Decree


The above entitled case having come on for hearing and having heard the parties and their proofs, and it appearing that an emergency exists in the said Town of Seabrook due to the lack of proper fire equipment it is hereby ordered, ad- judged and decreed :


That an emergency exists in the said Town of Seabrook and the said Town is hereby given permission to hold a special Town Meeting for the purpose of seeing if the Town will vote to purchase a fire truck and to borrow the sum of Seventy-five Hundred Dollars (7,500.) with which to pur- chase the same, and to pass such other vote or votes as may be necessary to carry out the purchase of the said truck and the borrowing of the money, which said special Town Meeting shall have the same authority as that of an annual Town Meeting.

Warrant for Special Town Meeting of the


Town of Seabrook, New Hampshire


To the Inhabitants of the Town of Seabrook, in the Coun- ty of Rockingham and the State of New Hampshire, quali- fied to vote in Town Affairs :


You are hereby notified, in accordance with a decree of the Superior Court in and for the County of Rockingham authorizing the holding of a special Town Meeting which said town meeting shall have the same authority as an an- nual town meeting, to meet at the Town Hall in said Sea- brook on Saturday, the 31st day of August, 1946, at 2 o'- clock in the afternoon to act upon the following subjects :


1. To see if the Town will vote to purchase a fire truck and to authorize the moderator to appoint a committee of five citizens of the Town of Seabrook to purchase said fire truck for and in behalf of the Town of Seabrook.


2. To see if the Town will vote to borrow the sum of Sev- enty-five Hundred Dollars ($7,500), said sum to be used to purchase said fire truck, and to issue and sell in connection with such borrowing notes of bonds of the Town of Sea- brook in the principal amount of Seventy-five Hundred Dol- lars ($7,500), such notes or bonds to be payable exclusively from funds raised by taxation, to bear interest at a rate not exceeding five percent per annum payable semi-annually, principal to be payable in equal installments of One Thou- sand Dollars ($1,000) each for the first seven years and Five Hundred Dollars ($500) on the eighth year, the first installment to be payable one year after the date of said notes or bonds, to be sold for not less than par, the time and place of payment of principal and interest, the fixing of the rate of interest, the provisions for the sale of the notes or bonds, and all other matters in connection therewith to be

left to the discretion of the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Seabrook.


3. To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.
