During the year there has been a steady growth of the Library idea, and we feel that there is a healthy condi- tion of public sentiment, as to proper literature. We be- lieve that instruction should come first - amusement second.
We are working on a new idea, to raise money, by entertainment, for benefit of the Library, and hope the public will fully understand the effort, and aid in any way possible. By so doing we can double the amount of money which we now receive each year from the town.
We wish to thank those who have so liberally given us books this year, and hope to merit a continuance of the same generous treatment from our summer people.
Following this report, is a record of the books received during the past year.
Respectfully submitted,
