These gentlemen thereupon signed a paper in opposition to the position of the Bonneil and Assembly, whereupon the latter adopted a resolution declaring that the subscribers had "oftirol the greatest scandal to the Whole House of Representatives " and were " latde to the severest retakes of this House for their disloyalty and insolvence, and that Major Matthew Howell, being the writer and deliverer Is of the said paper, be forthwith expelled this House."
