It commences with a lengthened Preface designed es an address " to them who eeck the refor- mation of the Laws and Orders Ecclesiastical of the Church of England." The discussion is divi- ded into eight hooks, which include an investigation of the topics. After those eight books of the " Laws of Ecclesiastical Polity," follow two Sermons, " The certainty and perpetuity of Faith in the elect ; especially of the Prophet Habakkuk's faith ;" and " Justification, Works, and how the foundation of faith is overthrown." Next are introduced " A supplication made to the Council by Master Walter Travers," and " Mr. Hooker's answer to the supplication that Mr Travers made to the Council." Then follow two Sermons-" On the nature of Pride," and a " Remedy against Sorrow and Fear."
