Ships of war or packets of any prince or ftate, and pot per- mitted by fuch prince or flate to carry goods in way of trade, are not required to make fach report.

Bonds, with one or more fufficient fecurities, to be given, that fuch goods fhall not be re-landed in the United States.
In cafe of veffel caft away, or cher accident, to produce pro- teit in due form, or in'cafe fuch proteft cannot be had, the oath or affirmation of the exporter, or other proof to the fatisfaction of the collector.
Goods exported for drawback, and re-landed, fubject to fei- zure, together with the veffel, boats, &c. and perfons concerned fuffer fix months imprifonment ; but if the voyage is altered, the collector may give-permit for re-landing.
Salt fith and falted provifions to be fhipped under the fame re . friction as in cafe of drawbacks, and the bounty to be paid with- out abatement; but no drawback to be allowed'unlefs it amount to twenty dollars, nor bounty unlefs to three dollars.
Perfons giving or offering a bribe, forfeit from two hundred to two thousand dollars.
Captains or owners making falfe entry, forfeit not exceeding coe thoufand dollars, and futfer not more than twelve months imprifinment.
No goods of foreign growth or manufacture to be brought into the United States unlefs by fea, and not in veffels under thirty tens, on forfeiture of goods and veffel, (except to Louifville on the Ohio) except houfhold furniture and clothing of perfons re- moving to the United States.
Veilels bound to foreign ports, the mafter is to deliver a true raanitett, on oath, and take clearance, (but without fpecifying particulars, unlefs required) under penalty of two hundred dol- fars.
All permits granted by the collector, for wines and diftilled Spirits, fhill, prior to the landing of fuch good's, be produced to the infpector of the port, who ihall, by indorfement, fignify the fame. Wines or fpirits landed contrary to the above directions, are fubjected to forteiture.
Spirits imported (except gialin cafes and cordia's) in cafes under Gfty gallons, are forfeited, ani the vetfel alfo, until the goth day of April, 1993; after which no dirtivied Spirits, except arrack and fweet cordials, can be imported in caike or vetit's of his capacity than ninety gallons, on pain of forfeiture : and after the last day of December, 1792, beer, ale or porter, imported in cafes lefs than forty gallons, or, if in bottles, in p. ckages lefs than fix dozen, are forfeited, together with the thip or veriel.
