The Speaker of the Houfe of Reprefentatives has twelve dollars per day ; and the members of each houfe are entitled to receive the fum of fix dollars per day during the fetfion of Congrefs; and the fame fum is alfo allowed them for every twenty miles diftance be- tween the feat of government and their refpective ha- bitation :. After the 4th of March, 1795, the pay of the Senators will be feven dollars. The Secretary of the Senate, and the Clerk of the Houfe of Repre- fentatives, have each 1500 dollars per annum, and two dollars per day during the feffion. The Chap- lains of each houfe at the rate of soo dollars per an- num. The Serjeant at Arms of the Houfe of Repre- fentatives, four dollars per day. The Door-keeper of each houfe has 500 dollars per annum, and the Affiftant Door-keeper 450.
