Part Three-Appendix
Great care was exercised in editing the thousands of biographies in this pub- lication. Besides going to original sources for information, every biography was forwarded to the subject for correction and revision. Yet in such a large list, some error was bound to occur and in other few instances, later matter was added to biographies after the work was in press.
Therefore, this "Section Three (Appendix)" has been incorporated in the pub- lication together with an index to the same and where additions or changes have been made, reference to the page of the original biographies is given, so said biography can readily be interpreted.
Where the statements in the appendix differ with the original biography, the statements in the following appendix are correct.

Dur- ing this period he taught school for six winters. He read law in Norwalk in the office of Wickham & Wildman. and was admitted to the bar by the District Court of Lorain County in August. 1873. The same year he was nominated and elected prosecuting attorney of Medina County, which office he held one term, but on ac- count of an opening in his profession at Sandusky, he moved to that place in October. 1875, where he became a mem- ber of the firm of Bowen & King.
