Co., publishers of the Port Jervis Daily Union, the Tri-States Union and the New York Farmer, and served successively as book- keeper and cashier, reporter, city editor and editor, and later in a managerial ca- pacity; few years later, became Secy. and Dir. of the corporation; in home town was Commissioner of Health, Secy. and Dir. of Bd. of Trade, Officer of Fire Depart- ment, Pres. of Chautauqua.
