The streets within the city of Astoria running north and south are numbered from First to Six-
ty-fourth the numbers run- ing from west to east, First street being on the west bound- ary line of McClure's Astoria and Sixty-fourth on the east bound- ary line of Van Dusen's Astoria.
The streets running east and west beginning at the water front are named as follows: Front,, Astor, Bond, Commercial, Duane, Exchange, Franklin avenue, Grand avenue,, Harrison avenue, Irving avenue, Jerome avenue, Kensington avenue, Lexington avenue, Madison avenue, and Niagara avenue.
In Alderbrook, the most east- erly addition to Astoria, the streets beginning at the water front are Ash, Birch, Cedar, Date, Elm, Filbert, Guava, Holly, Iron- wood, Juniper, Kingwood, Laurel, and Maple.
In Taylor's addition, the west- erly point of the city, begin- ning at the water front, are Tay- lar avenue, Alameda Avenue, Berlin avenue, and Cambridge avenue. Crossing these
from north to south, and beginning at the next street west of First, are Hume avenue, Lincoln avenue, Melbourne avenue, Kingston ave- nue, Ilwaco avenue and Hull avenue.
Hustler and Aiken's addition is s. of Niagara avenue, between 2d and 12th.
Smith's Point is the extreme western point of Astoria.
