Eagle Lake is situated on the banks of a beautiful lake, bearing the same name and extending 1 mile in width to 3% in length: the same being of much value to this community in beautifying the surroundings; for its fish products and in furnishing water for rice irrigation. Rice farming by irrigation is success- fully and extensively carried on. It Is also on the edge of the famous "cane belt," and much sugar cane is grown and manufactured into sugar at this point.
