PARK CITY,

Summit County ..

(See also Mines of Utah.)

PARK CITY, Summit county, is an incorporated city. It is located in the Uintah district, at the head of the Cottonwoods, lying eastward of the dividing ridge between this county, Wasatch and Utah counties, and con- tains nearly all of the principal mines of the district. It was established about twenty-nine years ago as a mining camp, since which time it has grown very steadily, and at present can lay claim to being the wealthiest and most prosperous mining city in the Territory. It is connected with Ogden and Salt Lake City by rail. It is wildely known because of the vastness and in- exhaustible supply of mineral resources found within its boundaries. They (the mines) are more thoroughly developed and yield more largely than any others in the Territory. Population, 7,000.
