HEALTH OFFICER'S REPORT.


Union Village, Vt., Feb. 12, 1912.


The sanitary condition of the town for the past year has been very good with the exception of two epidemics, one of smallpox, which ran very light, and one of fever, which was caused by impure water. There have been seventeen cases of measles, twenty cases of small pox, two of mumps and one case of typhoid fever.


The State Board of Health requires anyone selling milk, to regular customers, to have a license which is good for one year, also anyone that is engaged in the meat business must have a license, this license being good for one year.


The following diseases are declared to be communicable or dangerous to the public health within the meaning of the statute, and should be reported by heads of families and physi- cians to the Health Officer, viz .: Typhoid Fever, Typher's Fever, Small Pox, Chicken Pox, Measles, Scarlet Fever, Whoop- ing Cough, Diphtheria, Cholera, Mumps, German Measles and Erysipelas.
