For the information of our town's people that do not understand the matter fully regarding our poor farm, which was given us by the late Anna B. Poor, this farm is to be used for the benefit of the town not strictly as a poor farm but as a home for any deserving poor the Selectmen may think advisable to place there. This place is in a badly run down condition, build- ings and land, but by our report you can see that we have com- menced repairs and improvements on the property.
1
21
Having put the barn in fairly good condition, also had water brought to the house and barn, fences put in good shape as there were no fences when we took the farm, most of them are now made of new wire.
The pasture we have commenced trimming up and many other improvements.
Another year the house will necessarily be put in repair. We made a trade with Mr. Chas. Bacon for one year with the understanding he stay longer if all parties were agreed. The farm is appraised by men of good judgement at $2000 in the run down condition it was when we received it.
And we expect after a few years to have the farm in shape, so that there will be a satisfactory income from it, We sold in personal property from the farm, $183 78
Rent of farm for one year, 50 00
Paid out in repairs and improvements a total, 235 37
