DRAINAGE FUND.
This fund consists of one-half the proceeds of sales of all swamp and overflowed lands received by the state from the United States, and is distributed on the 30th day of Sep- tember, under the provisions of section 254, Revised Statutes, as amended by chapter 264, laws of 1883, among the several counties, wherein such lands lie, in proportion to the amount of sales in the respective counties. The moneys so paid are then apportion .d by the county clerks to the several towns in their respective counties, and are expended under direction of the town board in draining and reclaiming the swamp lands in such town, and in constructing roads and bridges over such swamp lands. The number of acres of unsold land is 258,233.53. The cash receipts and disbursements during the last two years have been as follows:

ST. CROIX & LAKE SUPERIOR RAILROAD TRESPASS FUND.
This fund consists of moneys received into the state treasury, in trust, under the provisions of chapter 46, of the general laws of 1869, and acts amendatory thereof. The disbursements therefrom have been for the purpose of protecting the St. Croix & Lake Superior railroad lands, in accordance with the terms of said acts. WISCONSIN RAILROAD FARM MORTGAGE LAND COMPANY.
Chapter 235, laws of 1882, authorizes the commissioners of the Wisconsin Railroad Farm Mortgage Land Company to close up the business of said corporation, and to turn over and to pay to the state treasurer all its money anl bank accounts, and to take his receipt therefor, and at the same time to make its report in writing to the secretary of state, of its proceedings under this act.
