ELECTION OF UNITED STATES SENATOR, 1893.
The legislature of 1893, in joint convention, on the 27th day of January, elected John L. Mitchell United States Senator to succeed Philetus Sawyer, whose term expires on the 4th day of March, 1893. The vote was as follows:
