Clifford Glenn Gunter
A funeral service was held Wednesday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Allen-Sallus Funeral Service in Bell Gardens. Offici- ating was Rev. Jack Showers. Interment at Rose Hills Memo- rial Park in Whittier, California.
Mr. Gunter was born August 1, 1917 in Hinton, Oklahoma and died March 12, 1993 at his home in Squirrel Valley, Cali- fornia. He served in the Army from May 5, 1942 through Oc- tober 16, 1943, when he had a medical discharge.
After he was discharged, he worked in various places for a short while. Then he moved to California where he started his own business, a garage and gas station in Bell Gardens, where later his mother and fa- ther joined him where he cared for them until their death. In 1984 he retired and moved to Squirrel Valley, California. He belonged to the Bell Gardens Rod & Gun Club. He joined the Eagles in Mt. Mesa in 1984.
He is survived by his wife Mary of 25 years; William Klatt and step-daughter Rita Tucker of Squirrel Valley; sister Ruby Mewlin of Ponca City, Okla- homa; sister Ruby Pritz of Bilgrook, Montana; brother Ray Gunter of Venita, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Howard Paul Burke
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 3, 1993, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kern Valley Bible Church, 3920 Golden Spur in Lake Isabella for Mr. Howard Burke, age 55.
He passed away at his resi- dence in Bodfish on Sunday moming. Howard was bom in Callioon, New York on No- vember 17, 1937. He moved at an early age to Damascus, Pennsylvania where he was educated. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Ma- rine Corps. He came to South- ern California in 1978 and fol- lowing his retirement he moved to Bodfish in 1992. He worked for many years as a truck driver having retired from T.N.T. Bestway. He and Sherry Christian were married in Ontario, California on October 21, 1989.
He is survived by his wife Sherry D. Burke of Bodfish; 11 children, W.A. Young of Santa Barbara; Emery (L.R.) Burke of Bodfish; Howard Burke II of Columbus, Georgia; Gregory Burke of Pennsylvania; Brad Burke of Texas; Emma (H.G.) Young of Georgia; Lillian (F.M.) Burke of Bodfish; Cindy Harley of Kinkletown, Pennsylvania; Charlene Pettus of Pennsylva- nia; Tia Burke and Kathy Burke, both of Texas. He is also sur- vived by two grandsons and his mother and father-in-law, Joe J. and Dora Lee Parkerson of Georgia and many friends.

Mr. Marshall was bom Feb- ruary 15, 1947, in Pocatello, Idaho, and passed away March 24, 1993, from complications following surgery.
He is survived by two sons, Bradley and Jeffrey of Macon, Georgia; sister, Caroline Early of Garden Grove, California; niece, Amy Pavelek of Los Angeles, California; and neph- ews, Steve Pavelek of Garden Grove, California, and Dan Pavelek of Islin, New Jersey.
Mr. Marshall had a second home in Wofford Heights. He was a software consultant for many years and would retreat to the Kern River Valley as of- ten as he could. It was his ce- sire to be returned to the valley he loved and laid to rest near his mother, Mildred Marshall, who preceded him in death in 1988.

Mr. Lee was a member of the Church of the Nazarene for 52 years and the Valley Com- munity Church for the last 7 years. His home was the meeting place.

Monsignor A.G. Herdegen. Interment was Tuesday, April 13, 1992 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.
Manny was born December 13, 1920 in Meihine, Illinois, and died April 6, 1993 at his residence in Bodfish after a long battle with cancer. He was 72 years old. Manny served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during WWII in the Pacific Theater and the Korean War. He was a member of the Kern River Valley Moose Lodge #498, the Kern River Valley Eagles Aerie #3156, and a 20 year resident of the Kern River Valley.

Mr. Yaden was born Sep- tember 8, 1930 in Harlan, Kentucky and died April 4, 1993 at the age of 62. He lived in the valley for three years and was self-employed as a painter. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W., Moose, Elks and the American Legion.

Mr. Yaden was a man who had no enemies in the world, a wonderful sense of humor and the patience of gold. He would help anyone at anytime. Most of all he was the best father and papaw any of us will ever know.

Rose was bom in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on March 12, 1908 and spent her early years there. She moved to Detroit in 1936 and to Cali- fornia in 1943. She owned and operated A-1 Cleaners in Bell- flower for many years. She and her husband Glen T. Gillham were married in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 28, 1958. Following her retirement, she moved to Wofford Heights in 1977.
Rose was preceded in death by three sisters. She is survived by her husband Glen at the family home in Wofford Heights; one step-daughter Diana McNeil of Show Low, Arizona; four grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. The ar- rangements were entrusted to the care of the Bonewell Fam- ily. Taft Funeral Home.

Frances Louise McLaughlan born October 1905 in Garner, lowa died April 21, 1993 in St. George, Utah.
Mrs. McLaughlan is survived by two daughters Cecelia Johnston of Logandale, Ne- vada and Marie Petersen of Grangeville, Idaho; four grandsons; two granddaugh- ters; four great-grandchildren; a brother and a nephew. Her husband preced her in death in 1958.
Frances lived in the Kern River Valley from 1937 to 1958 when she moved to Bakersfield. In 1969, she moved to Overton, Nevada wher she lived until 1989 when in failing health entered Porter's Nursing Home In St. George, Utah.

A Prayer Vigil was held Fri- day, May 7, 1993 at 10:30 a.m. at the Valley Mortuary Chapel in Lake Isabella for Florella Octavia Kleidon of Lake Isa- bella. Officiating was Monsignor A.G. Herdegen of St. Jude Parish Catholic Church in Wofford Heights. Mrs. Kleidon will be buried Monday, May 10 in Centerville, MN after a Rosary and Mass in White Bear Lake, MN.
Mrs. Kleidon was born May 18, 1918 in Deluth, MN and died May 4, 1993 in Los An- geles, CA. She was 74 years old. She attended St. Jude Parish Catholic Church in Wof- ford Heights, and was a 17 year resident of the Kern River Val- ley.
She is survived by her son Allen and daughter-in-law Pam Kleidon of Lake Isabella; daughter and son-in-law Catherine and Tom Kwaitkowski; granddaughters Tari Sickler, Lori Beam, Chris- tine Kwaitkowski; grandsons Curtis Kleidon, Lee, Ross Brian, Donald Kwaitkowski.

Philip Ronald Henderson
A funeral service was held Saturday, May 8, 1993 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kem River Valley Masonic Lodge #827 in Kern- ville for Philip Ronald Henderson of Wofford Heights. Officiating were the Officers of the Lodge. Interment followed after a motor procession to the Kern River Valley Cemetery in Wofford Heights.
Mr. Henderson was born October 5, 1912 in Medford, Massachusetts and died May 6, 1993 in Bakersfield, Califor- nia. He was 80 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Gen Henderson of Wofford Heights; son Jim Henderson of Saritoga, CA; and daughter Lynette Richards of Lomita, CA; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Gladys Doloris Bruckler
Private services are pending for Gladys Doloris Bruckler of Wofford Heights. Mrs. Bruckler was born May 30, 1930 in Missouri and died April 30, 1993 at residence in Wofford Heights. She was 62 years old.
She is survived by her son Rusty Pedigo of Wofford Heights, son Michael Rexford of Norwalk, CA; daughter Pam Iniquez of Corona, CA; Rita Martin of Colorado; sister Esther Rodgerson of Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren.
