Sandra Jean Monteith
Memorial services were held in the Rose Chapel of the Lake Isabella Funeral Home on Saturday, December 11, at 10:00 a.m. for Lake Isabella resident Sandra Jean Monteith, age 46. She passed away in a Bakersfield hospital on Mon- day, December 6.
Sandra was born in Oxnard on July 16, 1947 and spent her early years there. She had been a resident of Lake Isabella for the past 17 years.
She is survived by her mother Merle Bauch of Lake Isabella; sons John Lipps and Scott Lipps, both of Washington; brother Richard Bauch of Lake Isabella; sister Joann Bettrell of Weldon; one grandson; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Private inurnment was held. Services were entrusted to the care of the Bonnewell family, Lake Isabella Funeral Home.
Marie Stover
Private family memorial services will be held for Wofford Heights resident Marie Stover, age 93. She passed away at the local nursing home on Monday, December 6.
Mrs. Stover was born in Tyler, Texas on November 15, 1900. She worked for Bell Telephone Company for over forty years retiring as a chief operator. She and her husband loved the out- of-doors and were avid fisher- men and boaters.
She was preceded in death by her husband Brigham Young Stover. She is survived by her son Jack Stover of Wofford Heights; granddaughter Jo Lynn Schoonover of Mt. Mesa; and many friends.
Services were entrusted to the care of the Bonnewell family, Lake Isabella Funeral Home.

OBITUARY
Jessie Lee Fagan
Memorial services were held on Saturday, December 11, at 1:00 at the First Baptist Church of Lake Isabella for little Jessie Lee Fagan. She passed away in Mt. Mesa on Tuesday night, December 7, after a long battle with AIDS which was contracted from tainted blood received from a blood transfusion while being treated for leukemia.
Services were conducted by Pastor Jack Dilly of the Kern Valley Bible Church where Jessie was a member, Pastor David Snow of the Lake Isabella First Baptist Church, and by the U.S. Marines Reserve Battalion of Bakersfield of which Jessie was an Honorary Gunnery Sergeant.
Jessie was born in Bakers- field on July 31, 1983, and she lived in Lake Isabella her entire short lifetime and touched all who knew her with her courage and beautiful personality.
She loved to cook and go shopping. She enjoyed making crafts for the other patients in the hospital during her long stay and like to keep score for her brother Cory's Little League baseball team.
Jessie was preceded in death by her grandparents Harold and Jessie Fagan, for-
merly of Torrance. She is sur- vived by her parents Roger and Denise Fagan of Alta Sierra; brother Cory Fagan of the family home; grandparents Nadine and Albert St. Ours of Wofford Heights; great-grandmother Lila St. Ours of Wofford Heights; uncles Tom Fagan, Lonnie Decker, Danny Decker; aunts Susan Ritter, Carol Dower, Jeanne Smallwood and Dor- othy Woods. She is also sur- vived by many great aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and a community that learned to love her and will greatly miss her.
Services were entrusted to the care of the Bonnewell family, Lake Isabella Funeral Home.

Donald Travis Clemens
Graveside funeral services were held in the Kern River Valley Cemetery on Friday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. for Donald T. Clemens, age 31. He passed away as the result of an accident in Lake Isabella on Saturday, December 4.
Donald was born in Compton on April 19, 1962 and spent his early years and received his education there. He had resided in Lake Isabella for the past six years.
He is survived by his wife Diana Clemens; children San Travis Clemens, Donald Travis Clemens Jr. and Natasha Ann Clemens, all of Lake Isabella; father Charles Clemens of Long Beach; mother Thelma Clemens of Lake Isabella; grandparents Travis and Valerie Kelley and Kathleen Clemens, all of Lake Isabella; brother Kelley Clemens of Tehachapi; and many friends.
Services were entrusted to the care of the Bonnewell fam- ily, Lake Isabella Funeral Home.

Daniel James Madison
Private services were held at Wiefels & Son Chapel on December 3, 1993 for Daniel James Madison. His ashes were scattered at sea off Newport Beach, California on the Reveille on December 18, 1993 at approximately 10:00 a.m.
He was bom August 15, 1942 in Long Beach, California and passed away on December 1, 1993 at the age of 51. He had been a resident of Cathedral City, California for two years; of Newport Beach, California for three years; and of Weldon for two years.
Daniel attended high school at Anaheim Union High School and later worked in property management with Madison In- vestments. He was a member of the Friends of the Fullerton Arboretum.
He is survived by his parents James D. and Ann T. Madison of Wofford Heights; brother Thomas G. Madison and sister- in-law Jeanne Madison, both of Cathedral City, California; nephew James R. Madison and niece Anne Marie Madison, also of Cathedral City; uncle George Asaley of Kernville; cousin Donna Ann Phillipson of Grass Valley, California; aunt Grayce Madison of Ridgecrest, Cali- fornia; cousin Michael Madison of Bennington, Vermont; cousin Sandra Smallwood of Oceano, California.

Eileen Ella Fears
Funeral services were held Friday, December 17, 1993 at 10:00 a.m. at the Valley Mor- tuary Chapel for Eileen Ella Fears of Lake Isabella. Offici- ating was Pastor Eldon and Mary Beth Nickelson, First Congregational Church of Christ.
She was born November 6, 1923 in Brighton, Colorado and passed away in her home on December 10, 1993 in Lake Isabella. She had just cel- ebrated her 70th birthday.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Paul and her stepfather Elton (Salty) Morton. She leaves her son Bob Lintz, Sr. and his wife Terri; grandson Bob Jr .; grandson Brian and his wife Gena; granddaughter Jennifer and her husband Randy; great-grandchild Kripten. She also leaves her sister Elsie (Babe) Almer and her husband Don; seven nieces and nephews: Dana, Denese, Joey, Pete, Tammy, Donald and Kristy; and great-nieces and nephews.
Interment at Kern River Valley Cemetery. Arrange- ments by Valley Mortuary.

Mollie Mae Jobe
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rose Chapel of the Lake Isabella Funeral Home with Past Francis Edge of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Commital ser- vices and interment followed at the Kern River Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Jobe passed away in a Bakersfield Nursing Home on Wednesday evening, Decem- ber 15. She was born in Logan, West Virginia on October 25, 1910 and spent her early years there. She moved with her family to the Artesia area in 1945 and resided there until 1963 when she moved to the Lake Isabella area.
She was preceded in death by her husband Smith K. Jobe In 1976. She is survived by her daughter Gerry Flood of Lake Isabella; daughter Margie Turner of Tombstone, Arizona; sister Jackie Dickson of Santa Maria; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Grandma, we saw you suf- fer for four years and now you can breathe with peace.

James Oliver, Jr.
A memorial service will be held December 23, 1993 at 4:00 p.m. at the Community Church in Cathedral City, California for James Oliver, Jr.
James was born August 1, 1918 in Tacoma, Washington and passed away December 11, 1993 in Mt. Mesa, Califor- nia. He was a resident of the Kern River Valley for six years. He served in the U.S. Army for three years during the second world war.
He is survived by brothers Rex and Joe Oliver; sisters Frances Talleretti and Mary Stevens; and several nieces and nephews, all of Tacoma, Washington. Also stepdaugh- ter Norma Jean Dunham of Lake Isabella and stepdaugh- ter Beth Anne Neal of Indio Hills, California; nine grand- children and numerous great- grandchildren.
He is loved and will be missed by all.

OBITUARY
Robert Dale Thomas
Memorial services were held Thursday, December 23, 1993 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kernville United Methodist Church for Robert Dale Thomas, age 78, who passed away December 19, 1993 in Mt. Mesa, Califor- nia. Pastor John Carpenter of- ficiated.
Robert Thomas was born in Colorado and had resided in the Kern Valley area for 38 years. He was the founder of Thomas Refuse Service. He also was retired from Southern California Edison after 29 years of service ran a self-service laundry and a Dari-Delite res- taurant. He enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years Mae Thomas; daughter Karen Louise Larson; son Michael Dean Thomas; brother Bud Thomas; sisters Bea Lorack, Doris Johnson and Lois Beary; seven grandchil- dren - Craig Larson, Colleen Larson, Eileen Coursey, Michael Potter, Kevin Potter, Michael Thomas and Sheri Thomas; four great-grandchil- dren - Joshua and Matthew Coursey and Emily and Garrett Potter.
Arrangements by Valley Mortuary Funeral Home.
Carl W. Morris
Private services will be held for Carl W. Morris, age 75. He passed away in a Bakersfield convalescent hospital on Thursday evening, December 16.
Mr. Morris was born in Cartersville, Georgia on June 8, 1918 and had been a resident of Lake Isabella area for the past 15 years coming from the Simi Valley area. He was a retired brick mason. Mr. Morris was a member of the L.O.O.M. Lodge #498 of Lake Isabella.
He is survived by his son Carl Walter Morris, Jr. of Redondo Beach; daughter Diane Storm of Bodfish; daughter Betty Thaller of Littlerock, California; brother George Morris, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; sister Mae Willis of Forrest Park, Georgia; seven grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and many friends.
Private inurnment was held. Services were entrusted to the care of the Bonnewell family, Lake Isabella Funeral Home.
Duane L. Petersen
Memorial services will be held at a later date for long time area resident Duane L. Petersen, age 61. Mr. Petersen passed away at the local hospi- tal on Friday, December 17.
He was born in lowa on Au- gust 8, 1932. He had resided here for the past 21 years. Mr. Petersen was employed by the Bureau of Land Management. He was a member of the American Legion and the Sideband C.B. Club of Lake Isabella.
He is survived by his wife Mabel of Lake Isabella; son Duane Petersen, Jr. of Lake Isabella; daughter Linda Momney of Lake Isabella; brother Dallas Petersen of Vir- ginia and many friends.
